In 2023, Jack Beaman found himself struggling financially, leaving him unable to afford a proper gift for his niece and nephews. In a moment of guilt came a flood of creativity, he decided to design some reward charts and games for them to print off and use at home, which not only brought joy to the kids but also sparked an idea.
Encouraged by their excitement, Jack began to explore the world of toys and creativity with his good friend Matthew Gillespie. They created the brand Jollybox whilst also researching and experimenting with various designs, learning about production and what made toys engaging and fun for children. Since then they’ve attended many toy fairs and networking events, connecting with many industry professionals and experts.
Now in 2025, Jack and Matt have transformed the initial idea into a thriving toy company. With plans to open the first Jollybox brick and mortar store this year. This will have a focus on imaginative play and educational products, the ambition is to build a successful toy shop that continues to inspire children and families, proving that passion and creativity can turn dreams into reality.
