At Jollybox, we are thrilled to announce a significant milestone: we have advanced to the regional finals of the UK Start-up Awards! Being recognised as one of the top four contenders for the title of eCommerce and retail start-up of the year brings us immense pride. This honour reflects our outstanding commitment to providing sensory toys, games, and activities to both homes and schools, supporting both children's learning, and their development.
Our journey started with a simple mission: to create an online toy store dedicated to children, especially those with special educational needs (SEN). Recognising the critical role of sensory learning in child development, we aimed to address the lack of high quality, engaging sensory toys available in the market. This is something we aim to build on more and more moving forward.
The Power of Sensory Learning
To promote sensory play's importance, we developed fun learning campaigns and formed partnerships with local schools. These collaborations have led to sensory play initiatives that get our toys into their educational framework, emphasising their role in helping children learn effectively. The sensory toys are designed to be essential tools as they help children engage more meaningfully with their surroundings.
